Online Applications from the eligible male & female candidates belonging to A.P  State only are invited for admission into 1st year of Three years General Nursing and  Midwifery course and (6) Six months Internship for the year 2012-2013 batch which is being  imparted in the (9) (Nine) Government Schools of Nursing attached to the following  Government Teaching and General Hospitals in the State as per  G.O.Ms.No.256,HM&FW(K2) Dept., Dated 20-08-2004 and G.O.Ms.No.306, HM&FW (K2)
Dept., Dated 01-08-2006.

Candidates should have passed XII class OR Intermediate or its equivalent examination preferable with Science subjects. As per the G.O Ms No: 410 HM &FW (K2) Dept, Dated: 28.11.2008, MPHW (F) candidates who have passed ANM course of 18
months are eligible to admit into GNM course and they are exempted 6 months duration in GNM course subject to the condition that they shall under go the revised trainingprogramme as laid by the Indian Nursing Council New Delhi.

The aggregate marks of minimum 45% in Intermediate or its equivalent examinationare fixed by the Indian Nursing Council for admissions into Nursing Schools (for admissions  into General Nursing and Midwifery Course). The same is relaxed in favor of Scheduled  Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes candidates and they shall be eligible if
they passed, Intermediate or its equivalent examination.

In respect of admission of general category candidates for the said course, i.e., for O.C. candidates, the condition of minimum 45% aggregate marks in intermediate or its equivalent examination should be followed as per the Indian Nursing Council regulations. After first phase of Notification, counseling and wide publicity, if vacancies of General Category seats are unfilled and the candidates of OC category are not available with 45%aggregate marks in Intermediate or in its equivalent xamination, then only the unfilled vacancies in the General Category shall be filled up with OC candidate with a pass in Intermediate or its equivalent examination. The existing Rule of Reservation as being implemented now shall be followed.

The minimum age shall be 16 years completed and enter 17th year as on the 1st July of the year and shall not have completed 35 years of age. The upper age limit for the  candidates belonging to SC, ST and BC’s is relaxable by 3 years.



Note (1) :  Online GNM admission application is being introduced from this academic
year 2012-2013.

· Every Superintendent will be provided with User ID & Password forverification of On-line applications
received    by them.

· After selection of the candidates, they have to indicate the selected candidates through online.
· Only downloaded online filled in applications along with Registration Fee and
relevant enclosures have to be accepted.

(2):-  Selections will be made purely on merit, on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the Candidates in the group
subjects, excluding languages.
· In deciding merit candidates who qualify under compartmental system will be  placed after candidates who passed in a
single attempt.

(3):-Incomplete applications or applications submitted without attested copies of relevant documents will be rejected.

(4):-The SC/ST/BC candidates should furnish the prescribed Caste Certificate given at attachment at Annexure – I signed by the competent authority not below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer.

(5):- 85% of seats in local area are reserved in favour of local candidates in relation to the local area and the remaining seats are un-reserved as per A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of admissions order 1974 as issued in G.O.P No. 646
Edn. (W) Dept., Dated 10-07-1979).

(6):-Out of the seats available for admission – 15% for SC, 6% for ST and 25% for BCs are reserved.

(7):- Waiting list with Ten (10) eligible candidates may be selected extra for waiting list for each Institution to avoid second time selection process.
